Civic Centre Lift Replacement (Partial)

Tender description

Southampton City Council invites applications from suitably experienced firms/organisations who wish to be considered for selection to deliver/undertake the partial replacement of the existing 3 floor 3 stop (4 opening) hydraulic 4500kg / 60 persons goods passenger lift in a Grade II listed civic building in the centre of Southampton, Hampshire The civic building will remain fully occupied for the duration of the works and the successful contractor will take on the reponsibility of Principal Contractor under CDM regulations. On completion and for the defect period the lift is to be maintained safely in service at all times with monthly service visits carried out as well as 24/7 response to callouts. The successful contractor will be required to strictly comply with a detailed performance specification and maintenance, all lift standards, regulations and work closely with the Council and their representatives at all times. A performance bond and/or parent company guarantee (in the case of a subsidiary company) may be required Deadline for submission of prequalification questionnaires is to be by 12:00, 23 April 2015. It is anticipated that tender docs will be issued in May 2015 with a commencement on site in September 2015. A minimum of three and maximum of six tenderers will be invited to tender for the works.
