The DWP and DCLG wish to commission an independent research organisation to undertake an evidence review of the supported accommodation sector. The aim of the review is to understand the scale, shape and cost of the supported accommodation sector. There is an evidence gap of the precise size and composition of the supported housing sector, and this research will be key to establishing a robust evidence base helping to inform long-term policy solutions. There is also the potential for similar research to take place in Scotland and Wales.
