Advance Tree Felling/Hedgerow Removal Contract

Tender description

The proposed N61 Coolteige (Phase 1) Road Project is approximately 2.5 km of standard single carriageway. As part of the project it is intended to carry out tree felling/hedgerow removal in advance of the main contract. This advance tree felling/hedgerow contract will include the following: • Appointment of Successful Tender as Project Supervisor for Construction Stage. • Removal of 747m of roadside hedgerows and 363m of field hedgerows. These hedgerows may contain some small trees which will also be removed. • The removal off site of 69no. Trees (3 bands <0.4m dia, 0.4-1m dia and >1m dia) • The staged felling of 16 trees that contain bats under the supervision of an ecologist • Erecting 363m of temporary fencing. • The construction of 1 temporary crossings over a stream. • Designing, installing, maintaining and removing Temporary Traffic Management for access to works areas and working on Public Roads
