Provision of Revenue Equipment (H/Ware and S/Ware) and associated Management Systems

Tender description

Iarnród Éireann wishes to put in place a Framework Agreement to cover off it’s revenue equipment requirements for the next 5 years with an option to extend for an additional period of two years. This Framework Agreement will take the form of single lot and may be Multi or Single supplier. The Single Lot will consist of the following: • Station Validation Gates (Incorporating all / any additional remediation works including hardware / software upgrades) • Station Validation Poles (Incorporating all / any additional remediation works including hardware / software upgrades) • Smart Card Equipment and Associated systems (Incorporating all / any additional remediation works including hardware / software upgrades) • Ticket Vending Machines (Incorporating all / any additional remediation works including hardware / software upgrades) • Booking Office Equipment and Mobile Ticketing Equipment (Incorporating all / any additional remediation works including hardware / software upgrades) • Revenue Software systems This tender process will be run using the Negotiated Procedure. We reserve the right to use this Framework Agreement, not only for Irish Rail requirements but also, to potentially address any future CIÉ, Bus Éireann or Dublin Bus revenue equipment requirements. Candidates selected through this process will be asked to provide acceptable security in respect of their obligations under the contract. It is proposed to consult with candidates that are selected through this process to determine the essential characteristics of security requirements of CIE. The “Most Economically Advantageous Tender” criteria will be applied to this tender process. A maintenance element of new equipment is likely to be included as part of the tender process.
