Clare & Limerick City & County Local Authorities Public Lighting Maintenance Contract & Associated Services

Clare County Council and Limerick City & County Council providing public lighting within their respective administrative areas. Both County Councils now requests tenders from suitably qualified contractors for the provision of maintenance and associated services for these public lights as set out in these documents. Each County Council will manage these contracts separate and independently. The contract will be tendered as one package but the successful tenderer will be invited to sign two separate contracts, one with Clare County Council and one with Limerick City & County Council. The maintenance contract will cover approximately 10,500 lights Clare County Council and 19,600 lights Limerick City & County Council with 8,000 of these lights located within Limerick City; this quantity may increase (or decrease) during the period of the contract. The limit of the works is; Public lights powered by underground Council network, Public lights powered by overhead Council network, Public lights powered by overhead ESB network, Public Lighting on piers, harbours, Local, Regional, National routes (including dual carriageway) with public lighting and Public lights in grassed & pedestrian areas The lights are mounted on stand-alone columns, buildings and ESB networks poles. The latter are included in this Contract subject to the availability of an approval/training system agreed with ESB Networks which permits registered Contractors to access lighting mounted on ESB Networks.
