Additional 4 module Extension to existing Corporate E-Portal

Tender description

1.1 Background to the Project 1.1.1 Waterways Ireland currently maintains an E- Portal website (www.waterwaysireland.org) built on SharePoint 2013 and hosted at the HQ in Enniskillen. 1.1.2 Waterways Ireland’s Information Technology division has implemented SharePoint 2013 internally to provide essential IT services within the business. 1.1.3 Phase 1 of the development of the Communications Management Project was the award winning Corporate e- Portal, (first SharePoint 2013 in Ireland), which was successfully launched in April 2013 and key to the original specification and requirement was the tenet that the e-Portal was to be upgraded, supplemented and refreshed on a regular basis to keep the styling, content and format current and relevant. 1.1.4 A requirement now exists to develop a web based solution, based on SharePoint 2013 and layered on a SQL Server 2013 Database, which will provide additional functionality, (in the form of discrete modules), through a Corporate Portal to cater for four key areas, namely: • The Visitor Centre Micro Site • Sponsorship • Education • The Archive
