Proposed New Single Classroom Extension to existing National school at Scoil Einne,Spiddal, Co. Galway.

Tender description

Construction of an approximately 170m² extension to the existing school including: a) 1 No. mainstream classroom of approx. 78m², 2 No. WC cubicles, circulation corridor and 2 No. Resource rooms as shown on contract drawings. b) Demolition of part of existing School, as shown on contract drawings. This is a protected structure; therefore great care must be taken not to remove more than what is permitted or not to damage in any way the section of wall that is to be retained. c) Provision of new toilet facilities to existing classroom 1 consisting of 2 new cubicles as shown on contract drawings. d) Alterations to existing Classrooms 2 & 3 of the existing building as shown on contract drawings. Alterations include removing 3 no windows to both classroom 2 & classroom 3 and installing 1 no. window to both classroom 2 & classroom 3 as indicated on the relevant drawings. e) Renovations to existing toilets within existing school to provide 2 no. public toilets and 1 no. disabled toilet as shown on contract drawings. f) Provision of new high impact modified u-PVC wall cladding to ‘floor to ceiling’ of existing toilets within the existing school as shown on contract drawings. New u- PVC cladding to provide fire resistant to class 1. New cladding to be of interlocking ‘tongue & groove’ design with a flush flat finish. Finish of same to be agreed with the employer’s representative prior to commencement of works. g) All mechanical and electrical works as per specification and associated drawings, h) All required new services and diversion of existing services, i) Access ramps in accordance with TGD Part M (2010) and the Disability Access Cert including handrails etc, j) All ancillary site works.
