Tender description

NHS Shared Business Services (NHS SBS) wishes to establish a framework agreement of suppliers for the provision of Interpretation and Translation Services to the public sector, including; (I) Spoken Language (face-to- face) (II) British Sign Language (BSL) (III) Telephone Interpretation (IV) Document Translation (V) Video Interpretation (VI) Neutral Vendor/Managed Service. Service provision will be split by region for Lot (I) Spoken Language and Lot (II) British Sign Language. Lot I and Lot II will be divided geographically based on the current SHA regions and borders (the corresponding 2011 SHA Cluster Region has also been included brackets): a) North West (2011 SHA Cluster: North) b) London (2011 SHA Cluster: London) c) North East & Yorkshire (2011 SHA Cluster: North) d) East Midlands (2011 SHA Cluster: Midlands) e) West Midlands (2011 SHA Cluster: Midlands) f) East of England (2011 SHA Cluster: Midlands) g) South Central & South East Coast (2011 SHA Cluster: South) h) South West (2011 SHA Cluster: South) Lot VI Neutral Vendor is a new development for the Interpretation industry and a new addition to the Framework. Successful suppliers will be required to provide a fully neutral/impartial delivery of interpretation services to public sector organisations covering all key Interpretation & Translation services (Lots I- V). This model will be delivered through the use of technology to enable effective and efficient management of all bookings, service availability, time- sheeting, invoicing and management information. This Lot VI model will provide public sector organisations with a single point of contact and single ordering process, coupled with a flexible, compliant and efficient system for managing interpretation requirements.
