Upgrade of Multimedia Room in Cork City Council, March 2014

Tender description

Cork City Council currently has the following hardware in place to deliver corporate video conferencing and presentation facilities in its VC room (available for inspection): • Sony VPL FX30 projector • Polycom QDX 6000 (IP we do not use ISDN) • Kramer VP23 with a Creston Wireless Console to switch between VGA input for presentation and the Polycom unit and additional lighting and room controls. The City Council wishes to upgrade the existing hardware that is out of support and warranty and to maximise the communications and efficiency opportunities offered by the effective use of Video Conferencing. The requirements and criteria are as follows: • Replace the existing hardware with industry standard specification. • Videoconference unit must be compatible with o an existing Polycom VBP, o an existing Polycom HDX 7000 located off-site and o Compatibility with a UC solutions including Microsoft Lync. • Users must be able to switch between the video conference and vga input for presentation from a laptop or other device. Supply and Installation must be provided.
