Tender description

The project in general involves the construction of a single storey two classroom extension to the existing Saint Joseph’s National School, Halverstown, Kilcullen, Co. Kildare, which is located within an existing school campus which is fully occupied. The project provides for construction of the two classroom extension, extension to staff room and new entrance, refurbishment of existing toilet area to create new link corridor and disabled toilet, together with all ancillary works with connecting in the new and existing buildings, including refurbishment/re-roofing works to the existing flat roof and internal alterations to existing school incorporating demolition works and introduction of steel beams and insulated plasterboard wall & ceiling finishes, including all internal finishes and fittings, and firestopping, all Mechanical, Electrical, DATA, Fire & IT services installations including builder’s work, ETC. Externally there is provision for a new 21 space car park together with all associated works including new concrete boundary wall, external footpaths / paving, drainage works, soak way’s, new waste water treatment system, replacement of the foul drainage sewers, storm water sewers, hard and soft landscaping, fencing and gates and all associated realignment of entrance and necessary footpath and tarmac paving outside of the school boundary to the public road. The general extent and layout of the works are shown on the Architect's Drawings, Structural Engineer's and Service Engineer’s Drawings.
