Tender description

An Post, the national provider of postal services in Ireland is seeking competent service provider(s) to meet its requirements for postal automation equipment maintenance services.An Post has 22 (NEC and Selex Elsag) Letter and Flats Sorting Machines in 4 Mail Centres located in Athlone, Cork, Dublin and Portlaoise and two conveyor installations located in Dublin and Portlaoise.The service provider(s) will be required to provide(1) Engineering maintenance for these systems using modern and proven maintenance techniques and methodologies.(2) Maintain the associated software systems(3) Be responsible for the procurement of spares and consumables throughout the period of the contract.(4) The service provider(s) will also be required to support the key facilities of the Mail Centres on a “first look ” basis(5) The service providers (s) may also be required to provide additional support for dependent services, e.g. compressors, UPS, generators, fire systems, etc,.Contract Duration: It is anticipated that the contract will commence in 2013 for a period of 3 years.
