Co-ordinate and Develop an Integrated Strategic Local Development Plan for the Mizen Peninsula

Tender description

This contract requires the development of an Integrated Strategic Local Development Plan for the Goleen & District Community Council (GDCC) that builds on their existing work and provides a road map for key interventions that can impact on the Economic, Social and Environmental development of the region. The strategy should guide both the work of the GDCC as well as provide ample data to inform submissions to the County Development Plan; applications for potential support and funding streams; and any opportunities to also include a brief study visit to Vihtijarvi, in Finland, with some members of the GDCC. The VITAL project is Collaborative in nature with a partnership formed between both communities. It is intended that exchanges regarding best practice, adaptation and transfer of successful community development models be used in informing the development of the strategic plan.
