Tender description

5 Tenders were received by the closing date of 19th April 2013.. This Project was awarded to Priority Geotechnical Ltd on 23rd May 2013 for the sum of € 102,110.89 (Including VAT). The Project involves the widening and realignment of 4.9km of National Secondary Route on the N56 from Boyoughter north of Leitirmacaward village to Kilkenny south of the Gweebarra Bends in west Donegal. The existing road is sub standard and it is proposed to construct a Type 3 Single Carriageway which will be partly online and partly offline. To assist with the design Donegal County Council require a detailed ground investigation. Ground conditions vary from very soft peat to vary hard rock and include construction within a lake. The current Alignment includes substantial cutting and Filling.
