Tender description

The works required to facilitate uplift of the MIC comprise the following: 1. Construct a plinth for UKPN substation, to their specifications. 2. Install earthing for UKPN substation, to their specifications. 3. Undertake vacuum excavation / trenching (incl back-filling), to their specification, to allow UKPN to: a. Install HV cables between the site boundary and UKPN’s new substation. b. 90 mtrs of earth electrode / earth pins in the location shown on UKPN drg 8500348040. 4. Design and construct a new site intake switchroom to include a new LV intake switchboard and requisite earthing. 5. Design and install inter-connecting LV cables as follows: a. Between UKPN new substation and the new site intake switchroom. b. Between the new site intake switchroom and the existing (former) site intake switchroom (to provide a back-feed to the camp). 6. Provide builderswork in connection with items 4 and 5 above, comprising: a. A new plinth for the new LV intake switchboard. b. A new GRP substation enclosure. c. New lighting, small power and background heating for the substation. d. Vacuum excavation / trenching (incl back-filling) for the new LV cables. 7. Provide builderswork to include but not limited to: a. A new plinth for a new GRP enclosure to house meter adjacent to the new substation. b. A new GRP Meter enclosure. c. New lighting, small power for meter GRP as required. d. Ducting to new Substation as required. 8. New handover information and documentation. 9. Provide temporary power for the Camp during the shutdowns.
