Construction of New Housing to Support Children Who Are Care Experienced

South Lanarkshire Council is seeking a development partner to construct new housing for young people, who were previously looked-after children. The development partner will construct properties in South Lanarkshire and provide on-site support to the young residents to assist their transition to living independently. The provider will be responsible for the cost of construction on South Lanarkshire Council land which will be granted to the contractor under a long-term lease. The Council will be responsible for the cost of 24/7 support. The service procured will have the following focus: - The design and construction of 5 purpose-built houses on South Lanarkshire Council land, to accommodate young adults, previously looked-after children and associated support staff, at no cost to the Council. - Provision of 24/7 on-site support for vulnerable young people in each home, to be funded by the Council.
