Tender description
This Qualification System is designed to allow for the assembly of a multisupplier Specialised Construction Services Qualification System with competent entities with capabilities in one or more of the 6 lots. For each of the 6 lots in scope, each Qualified Applicant will be required to have the competence to carry out the relevant services within or in the vicinity of a live gas environment, including within hazardous or potentially hazardous areas (ATEX zones 0 to 3) The Specialised Construction Services Qualification System will be used to supervise works on the gas transmission (Tx) and distribution (Dx) networks owned and/or operated by Gas Networks Ireland and its subsidiary GNI (UK) Ltd in Ireland, Northern Ireland and in Scotland as the case may be. Lot 1: Site Supervisions (General Pipeline Engineering Transmission) Lot 2: Site Supervision (Quality Control/Inspection Transmission and Distribution) Lot 3: Site Supervision (Civils – Transmission) Lot 4: Site Supervision Civils (Excavation, Backfill and Reinstatement – TX and DX) Lot 5: Site Supervision (Distribution) Lot 7: Technical Expert/Specialist Inspection Services Gas Networks Ireland advises that the 18/044 Qualification System, originally due to expire on 19 March 2026, will be extended by a further three years, bringing the total duration to ten years and establishing a new expiry date of March 2029. New applicants are welcome to apply during the extended term Dear Tenderer, Gas Networks Ireland wishes to advise you of the following updates to Qualification System 18/044 – Specialised Construction Services: 1. Extension of Qualification System The validity period of 18/044 has been extended to March 2029. This extension ensures continuity of the existing Qualification System and ongoing access to pre qualified suppliers. 2. Removal of Lot 6 Please note that Lot 6: Site Safety Inspector (TX and DX) has been removed from the scope of the Qualification System. This Lot will no longer be assessed or awarded under 18/044. An updated red lined version of the QSQ document , 18_044 Specialised Construction Services – QSQ v0.2, reflecting the removal of Lot 6 and other relevant edits, will be uploaded to the eTenders platform for your information.
