Tender description

A lack of suitable housing is a known issue in Lambeth, impacting on people’s mental health and reducing flow out of mental health services when people are ready to move on. There are agencies to advise and support around housing. However, there is an acute lack of suitable housing for people with severe mental health problems in some of the in-patient mental health ward population and for those in step down accommodation. This has led to extended time in these more restrictive environments. There are indications of dozens of people who are unable to continue their journey out of more restrictive care due to housing heeds. This includes people who have No Fixed Abode, Lambeth residents and non Lambeth residents from the UK or overseas.
