QUICK QUOTE Weed Control Services – Railways 2026 Awarded

Please find attached documentation for a quick quote competition to provide Weed Management Services to DOI Railways to be carried out between March and September 2026.<br /><br />Weed control services to be provided to the three Isle Of Man Department Of Infrastructure Transport Services managed railways: The Manx Electric Railway (MER), the Snaefell Mountain Railway (SMR) and the Isle Of Man Steam Railway (IOMR).<br />There is to be one “early year” treatment (generally around the start of Spring) and one “mid season treatment” (generally during August). The first is to treat and prevent growth along the railways, the second is to keep the railways weed incursions under control until the end of the growing season.<br />The treatments are to provide control for:<br />•Specifically - Japanese Knotweed, Giant Hogweed and Himalayan Balsam<br />•Generally – Other invasive weeds and vegetation growing on Isle Of Man Railways<br /><br /><br /><br />The attached documentation consists of:<br />- The Quick Quote Request Document<br /><br />The Quick Quote will remain available on the Portal for Expressions of Interest until noon (12.00 hrs) on February 25th 2026 and the deadline for submissions is noon (12.00 hrs) on March 4th 2026 and your response must be submitted through the portal by this deadline. <br /><br />Once you have selected `Express Interest` a `Quote Documents` tab will appear and this is where you will find the above mentioned documents.<br /><br />After the above deadline the Portal will `Lock-Out` and no further submissions can be made.<br /><br />If your organisation does not wish to submit a response to provide these services, please select `Opt-Out` and select a reason. You can also choose to stop receiving correspondence on this screen.<br /><br />Please note, unless otherwise advised, all Quick Quote Competitions will be subject to the Isle of Man Government Standard Terms & Conditions for Goods and/or Services, a copy of which can be found under the `Supplier Information & Privacy Policies` tab.<br />
