Tender description

The project requires a photographer (Emma Mac Photography) to capture images for the website project, as well as the marketing campaign for Bodmin. The photographs will be published across marketing channels and will include web, social media, print and traditional advertising outputs. The photographer will be required to work to a brief, to complement the visual style developed as part of the More to Bodmin brand. The photographer will be required to provide a suite of photographs for the More to Bodmin website and its associated marketing activity; this will include images of events, people and places. As the project is rooted in place, we are looking for photographers with a strong connection to Bodmin, with a sound knowledge of the area and the ability and flexibility to capture images independently when the weather and circumstances best fit the brief. After its success in West Cornwall and Newquay, the project is now focusing on Bodmin from April 2025 to March 2027. It aims to bring more visitors to the town by creating unique cultural and low carbon experiences. The project has four main parts: 1. Helping local businesses and people build skills and connections. 2. Improving what Bodmin offers to visitors. 3. Promoting Bodmin as a place to visit 4. Evaluating how well the project is working. The project team want to build on Bodmin’s ambition to become a major tourism destination based on its heritage attractions, cultural events and recreational opportunities. Whilst it is not traditionally a tourist hotspot, Bodmin is ideally situated to be a gateway to mid-Cornwall. It’s close to Bodmin Moor, the Camel Trail, and both the north and south coasts. It’s also near popular attractions and is surrounded by wild natural landscapes. The project will run a focused marketing campaign to show off what makes Bodmin special. With investment and improvements in the town, the goal is to create lasting benefits for local people.
