Supply of daily living equipment pre-market engagement

Tender description

Cumberland Council is recommissioning its Daily Living Equipment Service and is seeking supplier input to help shape the future delivery model. We expect our new service to be in place from 11 November 2026. We currently use the retail model, where individuals assessed by the council or NHS receive a prescription for simple aids / equipment to support daily living and then redeem their prescription at one of contracted retailers. However, we are keen to understand the various options available and would welcome responses from all interested suppliers, including those that operate online-only, don't have a physical retail location in Cumberland etc. We invite suppliers to complete a short questionnaire via Microsoft Forms. Please also complete the items spreadsheet and send to jack.hewitson@cumberland.gov.uk which contains a list of our more commonly required items, the current tariffs, and number redeemed over the last 12 months. We would like to understand which items can be supplied, delivered, fitted / adjusted, and what the price would need to be (if we use a tariff-based system going forward). We have also provided a Word document which lists the full range of items although please note this is currently under review.
