Specialist Residential Placement for a young person managing serious dysregulation and emotional support needs - MC/2026/010<br /><br />Manx Care (a Statutory Board of the Isle of Man Government) (“the Board”) seeks to explore the market to identify suitably qualified, registered, and experienced organisations capable of providing a specialist off-island FCAMHS supported placement for a young person. The young person has confirmed diagnoses of Disinhibited Attachment Disorder of Childhood, Hyperkinetic Conduct Disorder, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The most recent psychiatric assessment also indicates the potential presence of Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), Conduct-Dissocial Disorder, and features of attachment difficulties and unresolved trauma.<br /><br />We are seeking a highly structured, therapeutic residential placement for a young person who requires a low stimulus environment and high levels of supervision (currently 3:1). The placement must be able to provide consistent, experienced staffing with a strong understanding of trauma informed and attachment based practice, alongside clear boundaries and effective risk management. Providers should be able to support young people presenting with complex emotional needs, including behaviours that may escalate rapidly during times of distress, and have the capacity to safely manage risk to self and others. A stable environment with predictable routines, access to therapeutic input, and flexibility to provide individualised support — including periods of reduced stimulation where required — is essential.
