The Edinburgh Genome Foundry (EGF) is a unique facility specialising in the generation of large numbers of genetic constructs to equip cells with new or improved functionality. As a Small Research Facility (SRF) at the School of Biological Sciences (SBS), the aim is to support the research of multiple academics who leverage EGF’s unique capabilities to accelerate the discovery process and generate solutions that address global challenges. To deliver its mission, EGF heavily relies on high-level automation. This procurement relates to the purchase of a Liquid Handling System, an automated incubator, software, associated parts and an extended warranty that will be built into the automated platform.
