Tender description

The project aims to prepare executives, chairs, and chief nurses to work proactively with patients, families, and carers as partners in a continuous quality improvement cycle, focusing on strengthening leadership skills for early, sensitive engagement. It aims to prepare new and experienced senior leaders (executives, and non-executives) to commit to engage with patients and their families proactively and positively as partners, to develop and strengthen the skills and approaches and to seek out engagement with families much sooner. This will include when early warning signs show that patients and families have experienced harm to build the confidence to enter into potentially challenging conversations in order to listen, hear and learn from their experience in order to prevent repeated events and improve services through trauma informed response/ skills.
