This Greening Georgian Limerick project aims to provide: Attractive streetscapes that will add to the Georgian neighbourhood’s appeal and help to catalyse future investment. Trees and soft landscaping in planters to improve the quality of urban life, fostering community cohesion by creating a sense of place and a local identity. In-ground trees will be the ultimate goal where possible. Community-centred, social spaces for both businesses and residents, helping to improve health and well-being in Limerick. Welcoming, accessible routes for pedestrians and cyclists. Net positive biodiversity contributors. Low carbon, using good-quality, durable materials and furniture, providing longevity and value for money. To achieve this, LCCC are seeking to install planters and benches which can be easily removed and used elsewhere in the city, if the need arises. LCCC are seeking quotes from suitably qualified suppliers to design, manufacture and supply planters and benches to LCCC’s nursery in Corbally, Limerick or to another address in Limerick city.
