Tender description

Gateshead Council (the Council) is looking to implement a Contract with an external contractor to deliver FaME - Falls Management Exercise Programme. Contract dates: 1st October 2026 - 31st March 2029. Extension options: 1 period of 12 months. Lot 1: FaME is an evidence-based postural stability programme, with research demonstrating that community-based falls prevention programmes are proven to reduce falls and improve outcomes for older adults. The provider must deliver 18 FaME programmes of 24-week progressive duration of postural stability-based sessions within the community at selected venues throughout the borough to those people who have been identified by relevant professionals/organisations or for self-referrals and meet the referral criteria.
