Tender description

The University of Sheffield is looking at sourcing new Data Centre Hardware and Virtual Machine environment as well as backup solutions as our current infrastructure’s warranty expires at the end of 2027, with some of the software platform already being out of support. This is to be provided across three of our AMRC sites which are currently set up as per the below:<br /><br />•AMRC Catcliffe (Advanced Manufacturing Park, Wallis Way, Catcliffe, Rotherham S60 5TZ)<br /> - Currently utilizes dark fibre to form a stretched cluster across various buildings in AMRC Catcliffe to introduce geographical redundancy. The site accounts for approximately 70% of the workload of our VM estate<br /><br />•AMRC North West (Enterprise Zone, AMRC North-West, Roy Chadwick Way, Samlesbury Aerospace, Mellor Brook, Blackburn BB2 7HN)<br /> - A single cabinet installation, comprising of 20% of the overall workload<br /><br />•AMRC Wales ( Chester Rd, Chester CH4 0DH)<br />- A single cabinet installation, comprising of 10% of the overall workload<br /><br />See ITT Document Suite for further information<br />
