Project Particulars: The work involves the refurbishment of two steelwork bridges Bridge A and Bridge B. Bridge A has an adjoining landing and staircase. Bridge A and the adjoining landing requires a full deck and coatings system removal, remedial structural steel works, new coatings system, new deck and timber handrail refurbishment. The adjoining staircase requires steel repairs, timber stair tread refurbishment and new steel coating system. Bridge B requires remedial steelwork, new steel coatings system and replacement deck. Site Location: Charles Sikes canal bridge & Sparck Jones canal bridge, stairs and landing – (53°38’29”N 1°46’35”W & 53°38’34”N 1°46’36”W), Huddersfield Broad Canal, Queensgate Campus, University of Huddersfield.
