Mandela Way Enabling Works

Tender description

The Council has committed to the electrification of its waste collection and street cleansing fleet to support the ambition of achieving a net zero city by 2040. Mandela Way depot has been acquired by the Council and will be transformed into a waste collection depot with electric vehicle charging infrastructure for over 40 electric refuse collection vehicles. Works are anticipated to start in June 2026 and complete by November 2026. The Council has entered into an enabling works contract with Logan Construction to progress site clearance and preparation for main works. A pre-construction services agreement and main works contract are due to follow. The award to Logan Construction follows a framework call off via PAGABO Major Works framework.
