Preliminary Market Engagement for Medway Markets

Tender description

The Council members envision both the existing and new markets to be thriving and successful and help to make the town centre a destination of choice for its residents and visitors, increasing footfall, offering a wide variety of services and products operating to a high quality. The Council members would expect the market operator to work with the Council, existing traders, nearby businesses and community groups to ensure the market positively impacts on the Town Centre economy and creates positive community engagement. The operator would be expected to develop and enhance the market offer, focusing on themed markets that will complement Medway’s heritage and diversity and support the existing markets. The Council member’s vision is to raise the profile of the markets as a destination resulting in increased footfall. Please note the contract start date and end date are not decided currently.
