Legacy Broadcasting Infrastructure Equipment Replacement

Contract Award for the replacement of legacy broadcasting infrastructure equipment. Lot 1: Contract Award for the replacement of legacy broadcasting infrastructure equipment. The Scottish Parliament broadcast infrastructure was originally installed in 2003/4 when the building was constructed. Several projects over the years have upgraded systems to HD but some legacy equipment is still in use. The original equipment manufacturer has ceased trading and the parliament also wish to remove any legacy hardware no longer required. High-level objectives below: 1. Replace legacy reference distribution amplifiers (DAs). 2. Replace Chamber and Committee Video and Audio DAs and add additional cabling as detailed. 3. Remove redundant HD to SD convertors and re-cable as appropriate. Re-organise remaining card frames and remove any frames no longer required. 4. Add additional DA outputs to Jackfields for emergency bypass patching. 5. Remove redundant cabling no longer required as a part of this project. 6. Update all documentation.
