HIA-26-012 Voice Communication and Control System (VCCs)

Tender description

The Voice Communications Control System (VCCS) is an essential equipment to enable the provision of an Air Traffic Service (ATS). The existing VCCS at Benbecula (BEB), Stornoway (SYY) and Wick John O’Groats (WIC) airports is legacy equipment, with critical elements now deemed obsolete and no longer supportable by the manufacturer. The equipment at these three airports is different to the other VCCS in operation at HIAL airports. HIAL is looking to replace the VCC through a competitive tender excersie. The requirement is a like-for-like replacement of the VCCS equipment at BEB, SYY and WIC to improve the performance of the equipment and put in place a robust maintenance and support capability through market test.
