Energy Supplies 2028 - 2032 (Electricity)

Tender description

This contract will cover the supply of Half Hourly, Non-Half Hourly and Unmetered supplies of electricity to Lancashire County Council buildings and Lancashire schools. Central government is progressing a national programme of Local Government Reorganisation (LGR), which may result in structural changes to existing councils, including the creation of new unitary authorities in Lancashire. Elections for reorganised councils are currently expected in May 2027, with new structures proposed to go live in April 2028. Resulting changes may involve contract novation, variation, or reassignment to successor authorities, and appropriate provisions will be included in the procurement of contracts to accommodate this.
