This Preliminary Market Consultation is issued in relation to proposed new procurements for the delivery of a HV Cable tunnel(s) from Dublin Port to Inchicore 220 kV Substation via Poolbeg 220 kV Substation in Dublin City in the Republic of Ireland. It is currently envisaged that the tunnel(s) will be greater than 3 metres in diameter. The purpose of this Preliminary Market Consultation process is to: • Inform potentially interested parties of ESB’s intentions to procure a contract(s) for the delivery of a HV Cable Tunnel(s) to house cables in the voltage level of 110 kV and higher. • Obtain a deeper understanding of market participants (vendors, implementers, prime contractors and advisors), their products and solutions, their implementation capabilities, as well as any existing or potential delivery partnerships that the participant is involved with or plans to be involved with and; Understand the optimum procurement strategy across key parameters including use of multi contract delivery strategies, multi-phase contracts and contractual terms and conditions.
