Forestry and Land Scotland (the Client) manages a network of roads and associated infrastructure, such as bridges, harvesting facilities, and extractive sites (quarries), to support access to and management of Scotland’s national forests and land. In particular, the road network is essential in supporting sustainable harvesting and the haulage of timber. The scope of this procurement is to provide access to a Civil Engineering Framework for the Client. The Civil Engineering Framework will be made up of 55 multi-supplier Lots across five Lot Types. The five Lot Types are as follows: - Maintenance and Small-Scale Works (21 Lots) - Large-Scale Works and Grading (14 Lots) - Crushing (9 Lots) - Bridge Maintenance and New Bridges (10 Lots) - Panel Bridges (1 Lot) Lot 1: Maintenance and Small-Scale Works - Caithness, Sutherland and Easter Ross This Lot is for the provision of maintenance and small-scale works in Caithness, Sutherland and Easter Ross. This may include (but is not limited to): - Road maintenance including rutting, potholes etc - Drainage works including ditching, culvert installation and replacement - Construction and maintenance of harvesting facilities - Vegetation control - Construction and maintenance of turning points and passing places Lot 2: Maintenance and Small-Scale Works - Wester Ross This Lot is for the provision of maintenance and small-scale works in Wester Ross. This may include (but is not limited to): - Road maintenance including rutting, potholes etc - Drainage works including ditching, culvert installation and replacement - Construction and maintenance of harvesting facilities - Vegetation control - Construction and maintenance of turning points and passing places Lot 3: Maintenance and Small-Scale Works - Inverness and Fort Augustus This Lot is for the provision of maintenance and small-scale works in Inverness and Fort Augustus. This may include (but is not limited to): - Road maintenance including rutting, potholes etc - Drainage works including ditching, culvert installation and replacement - Construction and maintenance of harvesting facilities - Vegetation control - Construction and maintenance of turning points and passing places Lot 4: Maintenance and Small-Scale Works - Moray This Lot is for the provision of maintenance and small-scale works in Moray. This may include (but is not limited to): - Road maintenance including rutting, potholes etc - Drainage works including ditching, culvert installation and replacement - Construction and maintenance of harvesting facilities - Vegetation control - Construction and maintenance of turning points and passing places Lot 5: Maintenance and Small-Scale Works - Aberdeenshire (North) This Lot is for the provision of maintenance and small-scale works in Aberdeenshire (North). This may include (but is not limited to): - Road maintenance including rutting, potholes etc - Drainage works including ditching, culvert installation and replacement - Construction and maintenance of harvesting facilities - Vegetation control - Construction and maintenance of turning points and passing places Lot 6: Maintenance and Small-Scale Works - Aberdeenshire (South) This Lot is for the provision of maintenance and small-scale works in Aberdeenshire (South). This may include (but is not limited to): - Road maintenance including rutting, potholes etc - Drainage works including ditching, culvert installation and replacement - Construction and maintenance of harvesting facilities - Vegetation control - Construction and maintenance of turning points and passing places Lot 7: Maintenance and Small-Scale Works - Highland Perthshire This Lot is for the provision of maintenance and small-scale works in Highland Perthshire. This may include (but is not limited to): - Road maintenance including rutting, potholes etc - Drainage works including ditching, culvert installation and replacement - Construction and maintenance of harvesting facilities - Vegetation control - Construction and maintenance of turning points and passing places Lot 8: Maintenance and Small-Scale Works - Fife, Angus and Lowland Perthshire This Lot is for the provision of maintenance and small-scale works in Fife, Angus and Lowland Perthshire. This may include (but is not limited to): - Road maintenance including rutting, potholes etc - Drainage works including ditching, culvert installation and replacement - Construction and maintenance of harvesting facilities - Vegetation control - Construction and maintenance of turning points and passing places Lot 9: Maintenance and Small-Scale Works - Lochaber This Lot is for the provision of maintenance and small-scale works in Lochaber. This may include (but is not limited to): - Road maintenance including rutting, potholes etc - Drainage works including ditching, culvert installation and replacement - Construction and maintenance of harvesting facilities - Vegetation control - Construction and maintenance of turning points and passing places Lot 10: Maintenance and Small-Scale Works - Lochaline and Mull This Lot is for the provision of maintenance and small-scale works in Lochaline and Mull. This may include (but is not limited to): - Road maintenance including rutting, potholes etc - Drainage works including ditching, culvert installation and replacement - Construction and maintenance of harvesting facilities - Vegetation control - Construction and maintenance of turning points and passing places Lot 11: Maintenance and Small-Scale Works - North Argyll This Lot is for the provision of maintenance and small-scale works in North Argyll. This may include (but is not limited to): - Road maintenance including rutting, potholes etc - Drainage works including ditching, culvert installation and replacement - Construction and maintenance of harvesting facilities - Vegetation control - Construction and maintenance of turning points and passing places Lot 12: Maintenance and Small-Scale Works - West Loch Awe This Lot is for the provision of maintenance and small-scale works in West Loch Awe. This may include (but is not limited to): - Road maintenance including rutting, potholes etc - Drainage works including ditching, culvert installation and replacement - Construction and maintenance of harvesting facilities - Vegetation control - Construction and maintenance of turning points and passing places Lot 15: Maintenance and Small-Scale Works - Cowal This Lot is for the provision of maintenance and small-scale works in Cowal. This may include (but is not limited to): - Road maintenance including rutting, potholes etc - Drainage works including ditching, culvert installation and replacement - Construction and maintenance of harvesting facilities - Vegetation control - Construction and maintenance of turning points and passing places Lot 17: Maintenance and Small-Scale Works - Scottish Lowlands This Lot is for the provision of maintenance and small-scale works in the Scottish Lowlands. This may include (but is not limited to): - Road maintenance including rutting, potholes etc - Drainage works including ditching, culvert installation and replacement - Construction and maintenance of harvesting facilities - Vegetation control - Construction and maintenance of turning points and passing places Lot 18: Maintenance and Small-Scale Works - Borders This Lot is for the provision of maintenance and small-scale works in the Borders. This may include (but is not limited to): - Road maintenance including rutting, potholes etc - Drainage works including ditching, culvert installation and replacement - Construction and maintenance of harvesting facilities - Vegetation control - Construction and maintenance of turning points and passing places Lot 19: Maintenance and Small-Scale Works - Solway, Stewartry and Dumfriesshire This Lot is for the provision of maintenance and small-scale works in Solway, Stewartry and Dumfriesshire. This may include (but is not limited to): - Road maintenance including rutting, potholes etc - Drainage works including ditching, culvert installation and replacement - Construction and maintenance of harvesting facilities - Vegetation control - Construction and maintenance of turning points and passing places Lot 20: Maintenance and Small-Scale Works - Galloway and Ayrshire This Lot is for the provision of maintenance and small-scale works in Galloway and Ayrshire. This may include (but is not limited to): - New road construction - Road upgrading - Infrastructure associated with new road construction and upgrade such as drainage, culverts, harvesting facilities - Vegetation Control - Large-scale maintenance works - Public road bellmouth construction and maintenance - Grading works Lot 23: Large-Scale Works and Grading - Wester Ross This Lot is for the provision of large-scale works and grading in Wester Ross. This may include (but is not limited to): - New road construction - Road upgrading - Infrastructure associated with new road construction and upgrade such as drainage, culverts, harvesting facilities - Vegetation Control - Large-scale maintenance works - Public road bellmouth construction and maintenance - Grading works Lot 28: Large-Scale Works and Grading - North Argyll, West Loch Awe and Mull This Lot is for the provision of large-scale works and grading in North Argyll, West Loch Awe and Mull. This may include (but is not limited to): - New road construction - Road upgrading - Infrastructure associated with new road construction and upgrade such as drainage, culverts, harvesting facilities - Vegetation Control - Large-scale maintenance works - Public road bellmouth construction and maintenance - Grading works Lot 29: Large-Scale Works and Grading - East Loch Awe, Kilmichael, Knapdale and Kintyre This Lot is for the provision of large-scale works and grading in East Loch Awe, Kilmichael, Knapdale and Kintyre. This may include (but is not limited to): - New road construction - Road upgrading - Infrastructure associated with new road construction and upgrade such as drainage, culverts, harvesting facilities - Vegetation Control - Large-scale maintenance works - Public road bellmouth construction and maintenance - Grading works Lot 30: Large-Scale Works and Grading - Cowal and Trossachs This Lot is for the provision of large-scale works and grading in Cowal and Trossachs. This may include (but is not limited to): - New road construction - Road upgrading - Infrastructure associated with new road construction and upgrade such as drainage, culverts, harvesting facilities - Vegetation Control - Large-scale maintenance works - Public road bellmouth construction and maintenance - Grading works Lot 31: Large-Scale Works and Grading - Scottish Lowlands This Lot is for the provision of large-scale works and grading in the Scottish Lowlands. This may include (but is not limited to): - New road construction - Road upgrading - Infrastructure associated with new road construction and upgrade such as drainage, culverts, harvesting facilities - Vegetation Control - Large-scale maintenance works - Public road bellmouth construction and maintenance - Grading works Lot 32: Large-Scale Works and Grading - Borders This Lot is for the provision of large-scale works and grading in the Borders. This may include (but is not limited to): - New road construction - Road upgrading - Infrastructure associated with new road construction and upgrade such as drainage, culverts, harvesting facilities - Vegetation Control - Large-scale maintenance works - Public road bellmouth construction and maintenance - Grading works Lot 33: Large-Scale Works and Grading - Solway, Stewartry and Dumfriesshire This Lot is for the provision of large-scale works and grading in Solway, Stewartry and Dumfriesshire. This may include (but is not limited to): - New road construction - Road upgrading - Infrastructure associated with new road construction and upgrade such as drainage, culverts, harvesting facilities - Vegetation Control - Large-scale maintenance works - Public road bellmouth construction and maintenance - Grading works Lot 34: Large-Scale Works and Grading - Galloway and Ayrshire This Lot is for the provision of large-scale works and grading in Galloway and Ayrshire. This may include (but is not limited to): - New road construction - Road upgrading - Infrastructure associated with new road construction and upgrade such as drainage, culverts, harvesting facilities - Vegetation Control - Large-scale maintenance works - Public road bellmouth construction and maintenance - Grading works Lot 36: Crushing - North Region The Client produces road stone from its own quarries to be used on its road network for new road construction, upgrading and maintenance. This Lot is for the provision of the crushing and/or screening of rock in Client quarries in the North region of Scotland's national forests and land to produce various products for use in Client forest road construction, road upgrade and road maintenance projects. Lot 37: Crushing - Moray and Aberdeenshire The Client produces road stone from its own quarries to be used on its road network for new road construction, upgrading and maintenance. This Lot is for the provision of the crushing and/or screening of rock in Client quarries in Moray and Aberdeenshire to produce various products for use in Client forest road construction, road upgrade and road maintenance projects. Lot 38: Crushing - Tay The Client produces road stone from its own quarries to be used on its road network for new road construction, upgrading and maintenance. This Lot is for the provision of the crushing and/or screening of rock in Client quarries in Tay to produce various products for use in Client forest road construction, road upgrade and road maintenance projects. Lot 39: Crushing - Lochaber The Client produces road stone from its own quarries to be used on its road network for new road construction, upgrading and maintenance. This Lot is for the provision of the crushing and/or screening of rock in Client quarries in Lochaber to produce various products for use in Client forest road construction, road upgrade and road maintenance projects. Lot 40: Crushing - West Argyll The Client produces road stone from its own quarries to be used on its road network for new road construction, upgrading and maintenance. This Lot is for the provision of the crushing and/or screening of rock in Client quarries in West Argyll to produce various products for use in Client forest road construction, road upgrade and road maintenance projects. Lot 41: Crushing - Central Region The Client produces road stone from its own quarries to be used on its road network for new road construction, upgrading and maintenance. This Lot is for the provision of the crushing and/or screening of rock in Client quarries in the Central region of Scotland's national forests and land to produce various products for use in Client forest road construction, road upgrade and road maintenance projects. Lot 42: Crushing - Dumfriesshire and Borders The Client produces road stone from its own quarries to be used on its road network for new road construction, upgrading and maintenance. This Lot is for the provision of the crushing and/or screening of rock in Client quarries in Dumfriesshire and Borders to produce various products for use in Client forest road construction, road upgrade and road maintenance projects. Lot 43: Crushing - Galloway, Ayrshire, Solway and Stewartry The Client produces road stone from its own quarries to be used on its road network for new road construction, upgrading and maintenance. This Lot is for the provision of the crushing and/or screening of rock in Client quarries in Galloway, Ayrshire, Solway and Stewartry to produce various products for use in Client forest road construction, road upgrade and road maintenance projects. Lot 44: Crushing - Arran The Client produces road stone from its own quarries to be used on its road network for new road construction, upgrading and maintenance. This Lot is for the provision of the crushing and/or screening of rock in Client quarries in Arran to produce various products for use in Client forest road construction, road upgrade and road maintenance projects. Lot 45: Bridge Maintenance and New Bridges - North Region This Lot is for the provision of bridge construction and maintenance of the Client's bridge infrastructure in the North region of Scotland's national forests and land. The Client’s bridge infrastructure varies from small footbridges to bridges which facilitate 44T timber haulage. Lot 46: Bridge Maintenance and New Bridges - Moray and Aberdeenshire This Lot is for the provision of bridge construction and maintenance of the Client's bridge infrastructure in Moray and Aberdeenshire. The Client’s bridge infrastructure varies from small footbridges to bridges which facilitate 44T timber haulage. Lot 47: Bridge Maintenance and New Bridges - Tay This Lot is for the provision of bridge construction and maintenance of the Client's bridge infrastructure in Tay. The Client’s bridge infrastructure varies from small footbridges to bridges which facilitate 44T timber haulage. Lot 48: Bridge Maintenance and New Bridges - Lochaber This Lot is for the provision of bridge construction and maintenance of the Client's bridge infrastructure in Lochaber. The Client’s bridge infrastructure varies from small footbridges to bridges which facilitate 44T timber haulage. Lot 49: Bridge Maintenance and New Bridges - West Argyll This Lot is for the provision of bridge construction and maintenance of the Client's bridge infrastructure in West Argyll. The Client’s bridge infrastructure varies from small footbridges to bridges which facilitate 44T timber haulage. Lot 50: Bridge Maintenance and New Bridges - Cowal and Trossachs This Lot is for the provision of bridge construction and maintenance of the Client's bridge infrastructure in Cowal and Trossachs. The Client’s bridge infrastructure varies from small footbridges to bridges which facilitate 44T timber haulage. Lot 51: Bridge Maintenance and New Bridges - Scottish Lowlands This Lot is for the provision of bridge construction and maintenance of the Client's bridge infrastructure in the Scottish Lowlands. The Client’s bridge infrastructure varies from small footbridges to bridges which facilitate 44T timber haulage. Lot 53: Bridge Maintenance and New Bridges - Galloway, Ayrshire, Solway and Stewartry This Lot is for the provision of bridge construction and maintenance of the Client's bridge infrastructure in Galloway, Ayrshire, Solway and Stewartry. The Client’s bridge infrastructure varies from small footbridges to bridges which facilitate 44T timber haulage. Lot 54: Bridge Maintenance and New Bridges - Arran This Lot is for the provision of bridge construction and maintenance of the Client's bridge infrastructure in Arran. The Client’s bridge infrastructure varies from small footbridges to bridges which facilitate 44T timber haulage. Lot 55: Panel Bridges - National This Lot is for the provision of panel bridge construction, installation and removal across all of Scotland's national forests and land. The Client’s panel bridge stock is primarily intended to facilitate 44T vehicle access. Lot 52: Bridge Maintenance and New Bridges - Dumfriesshire and Borders This Lot is for the provision of bridge construction and maintenance of the Client's bridge infrastructure in Dumfriesshire and Borders. The Client’s bridge infrastructure varies from small footbridges to bridges which facilitate 44T timber haulage.
