Tender description
This project proposes a scoping exercise involving a literature review to investigate the current landscape of allergenic risks associated with cell-cultivated products (CCPs). As CCPs emerge as a novel food category, there is a critical need to understand the potential allergenicity of their components - particularly those not covered by the 14 allergens listed in assimilated Regulation (EU) No. 1169/2011. This work will address a significant knowledge gap by identifying potential novel allergens, informing future risk assessment strategies and policy decisions such as labelling.
