Thorlux Emergency Lighting Maintenance Services Framework

Tender description

The purpose of this RFQ is to invite contractors to submit quotations for Thorlux Emergency Lighting Maintenance Services. The University of Birmingham is seeking contractors capable of delivering quality services that meet its standards and expectations.<br /><br />The University of Birmingham invites tenders for the provision of inspection, maintenance, monitoring, repair and technical support services for emergency lighting systems across the University estate.<br />The scope of this contract covers two distinct service areas:<br />Primary Scope:<br />Provision of inspection, maintenance, monitoring, defect management, and technical support for the University’s Thorlux emergency lighting systems, specifically SmartScan and Scanlight AT systems.<br />Secondary Scope:<br />Provision of inspection, maintenance, repair, and technical support services for non-Thorlux emergency lighting systems across the University estate when required.<br />The Contractor shall carry out all services in accordance with all relevant legislation standards, and best practice, including BS 5266 – Emergency Lighting Code of Practice.<br /><br />Please see Appendix A – Specification for full details.<br /><br />The University is seeking to appoint a framework Contractor for a period of 3 years with the option to extend for a further 2 years. Anticipated contract start date is 1st August 2026.
