The Provision of Direct Support Services for Adults and Young Carers

Adult Carers will have access to a range of preventative approaches & supports that enable them to achieve & maintain optimum wellbeing, and be fully supported to continue in their caring role. Including: -Preparation of Adult Carer Support Plans -Information/advice including awareness raising of local/national Carers issues -Individual/group support to Carers -A range of short breaks -Promotion of adult Carer involvement in providing views and feedback including direct representation for example. participation in local forums, social media Young Carers will have access to a range of preventative approaches & supports that enable them to achieve & maintain optimum wellbeing, and be fully supported to continue in their caring role. Include: -Preparation of Young Carer Statements -Information/advice including awareness raising of local/national Carers issues -Individual/group support to Young Carers -A range of short breaks -Promotion of Young Carer involvement in providing views and feedback Lot 1: Information, Advice and Support for Carers and Young Carers Lot 1 of the contract aims to provide a full range of preventative approaches and support that enables Carers of call ages in Dumfries and Galloway to achieve and maintain optimum wellbeing and be fully supported to continue their caring role. Lot 2: Information, Advice and Support for Parent Carers of Children under 18 Lot 2 of the contract aims to support Carers who are caring for children and young people under the age of 18. This is by offering a range of preventative approaches and support that enables Carers to achieve and maintain optimum wellbeing and be fully supported to continue their caring role. Lot 3: Information, Advice and Support for Carers of People Living with Mental Ill Health Lot 3 of the contract aims to support Carers who are caring for someone with mental ill health. This is by offering a range of preventative approaches and support that enables Carers to achieve and maintain optimum wellbeing and be fully supported to continue their caring role. Lot 5: Counselling for Carers Lot 5 is for a counselling service would be available to support Carers to improve their health and wellbeing. This service should be available for Carers who require counselling due to psychological impact of their caring role which can include the end of a caring role or bereavement.
