PA107 - Social Housing Tenancy Verification

Tender description

The contract is required as part of Wigan Council's duty as a Landlord to tackle tenancy fraud, ensure the best use of housing stock for those most in need, and protect public funds. In addition, the Regulator of Social Housing requires all registered providers to meet the outcomes of the consumer standards including the Tenancy Standard which expect landlords to maintain transparent, fair, and lawful tenancy management, and to take appropriate action to prevent and address tenancy fraud. This data-matching exercise will support the early identification of potentially fraudulent activity and strengthen compliance with these regulatory obligations.
