SCC2025-0024 Sligo County Council Request for an Expression of Interest to provide services to support people experiencing homelessness

This Expression of Interest is for two full-time posts for 2 years to work with homeless single persons, to be based in Sligo Town and to tackle the gaps in services that currently exist. There are currently more than 30 people in Sligo County who are registered as homeless but are not placed in emergency accommodation for various reasons and some are forced to sleep rough or couch surf. All are at risk of rough sleeping and are in unstable situations. Most have local connection to Sligo and would qualify for social housing supports. The Outreach Worker is to help determine the status of the others.
