Mid Ulster District Council is seeking tenders for a contractor to develop and deliver a PEACEPLUS funded cross community Female Entrepreneurship, Empowerment and Leadership programme for Mid Ulster District Council. The purpose of this specification is to set out the scope, minimum standards, service requirements, performance, and all other obligations that the Council requires of the Contractor when delivering this programme contract. This programme is a dedicated cross community Female Entrepreneurship, Empowerment and Leadership programme. It will focus on developing leadership skills and capacity of women as leaders in our society through shared engagement supporting women as follows: • Women’s Community Group Leadership and Empowerment Programme- delivered on a cross community basis and targeting women involved in community and voluntary organisations, supporting them to build capacity and contribute to local community development and peace building. • Women’s Empowerment and Leadership Programme- building capacity of local women in leadership skills, supporting them to contribute to a strong and sustainable prosperous region. • A total of 450 women will be engaged over a 3 year period. The programme will be delivered through a model of engaging women supporting them to contribute to a more cohesive and prosperous society.
