QUB/2745/25 Contract for the Evaluation of Queen’s Art Collection

Tender description

Queen’s University Belfast is commissioning a comprehensive management project for its Art Collection. Given the significant time elapsed since the last valuation in 2000, the University seeks to achieve the following objectives:<br /> <br />- Compile an updated inventory of all works in the Collection.<br />- Confirm the current locations of all works in the Collection.<br />- Identify any condition issues and provide recommendations for conservation.<br />- Conduct an insurance valuation of the Collection.<br />- Determine the current market value of the Collection.<br /> <br />Additionally, the project will include an in-depth analytical study of the Collection to:<br /> <br />- Highlight notable works.<br />- Identify strengths and areas of significance within the Collection.<br />- Explore its representation of the histories of art locally, nationally, and internationally.<br />- Provide recommendations regarding gaps, future acquisitions, or potential deaccessions.<br /><br />The successful Contractor will be reliable and flexible to meet the needs of the fluctuating business patterns and have the ability to react quickly and efficiently to short notices.<br />
