North Northamptonshire Council (NNC) (hereafter referred to as “The Council”) invites submissions for the provision of Reopening Lot 4 under the Commissioning Framework for People with a Learning Disability. <br /><br />This Expression of Interest opportunity is only open to Lot 7 – Residential Based Living to apply. <br /><br />Please note: Only providers already accepted on Lot 7 - Residential Based Living - Provision of person centred residential based service to support customers who are interested in applying to join Lot 4 – Short Breaks must submit a request through this Expression Of Interest. <br /><br />This Service Specification sets out a baseline for delivering the provision of both building based Short Breaks and Community Based Short Breaks.<br /><br />The following description of short breaks is used to set the broad scope of the Services the Council intends to purchase. Short Breaks are provided with the aim of enhancing and developing the quality of life of a person who has support needs and their Carer. This Service Specification uses the term ‘Short Break’’ to cover all such situations, including: <br /><br />• Where there is no Carer present but the person with care needs requires a break from their normal situation<br />• Breaks from caring <br />• Emergency support situations<br /><br />
