East Renfrewshire Council is inviting bids from contractors appointed to the East Renfrewshire Council Footways & Footpaths Framework Ref ERC000041. This Mini Competition continues the theme of a number of small diverse projects and locations within a single contract. There are three schemes in this Contract : - Kennishead Road, Thornliebank The works are to widen the east footway on Kennishead Road, thereby reducing the road width. The new kerb line returns into Main Street creating a corner build-out to frame existing main street parking. The opposite corner of the Kennishead / Main junction will be reformed in a 3.5m radius. Davieland Road, newton Mearns The works are to create a pedestrian refuge island centrally on Davieland Road with a corresponding dropped kerb arrangement on the opposite east side footway. Crookfur Road, Newton Mearns Creation of new pedestrian refuge island with corresponding dropped kerbs on each opposite side.
