Tender description

You are invited to tender to undertake the proposed install of new external lighting to our Byrom St Campus, along with the installation of muster points to the site and any associated enabling works to facilitate. <br />The works include, but are not limited to, the following:<br />Supply, installation, test and commissioning of the following items: <br />• External Lighting install (free issue, lamp post and light fittings only).<br />• Civils works, new pedestrian evacuation routes, parking bays, muster points.<br />• Testing & commissioning.<br />• Operation and maintenance manuals.<br />• Asset Schedules.<br />• As fitted drawings.<br /><br />This list of items is provided for the convenience of Tenderers only and is not considered to replace in any way the requirements and intent of this specification.<br />The contractor appointed to carry out the work covered by this specification, shall take full responsibility for all work undertaken and materials supplied by them and for the satisfactory completion of the respective specified work.<br />Should any British Standards or other standards specified have been superseded, the installer shall apply any subsequent standards that are current 3 months prior to the date of return of Tenders.<br />Tenderers are advised to visit the site to ascertain conditions and to satisfy themselves as to the accessibility of the site, the full extent and character of the site, the availability of the works, all local conditions and restrictions. No claims arising from failure to visit the site shall be accepted. Visits shall be made by appointment only, as given in the Contract Data.<br />All equipment shall be selected and provided with the manufacturers guarantee that spare / replacement parts will be available for five years following practical completion.<br />Campus will be occupied for the duration of the proposal construction programme, albeit at reduce capacity during the summer period.<br />The contractor is to note that works cannot take place at certain times due to pre-arranged events<br /> as follows;<br />· 2nr non-working days will need to be allowed for in the contractors programme due to University open days (specific dates do follow). <br /><br />Allow for all on site demonstrations and training to the building user of all systems at the time of Practical Completion. <br />
