Tri-GLA Solar Panels

Tender description

This opportunity defines requirements for solar photovoltaic (PV) modules. Modules will be installed on remote, unmanned stations, vessels and buoys in coastal environments to serve as the power supply for marine aids to navigation (AtoN). Long-term reliable operation of the equipment at these locations is essential. Lot 1: It is proposed that NLB conduct a procurement for solar panels on behalf of the Tri-GLA through the open market under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (PCR 2015) as it promotes transparency, competition, and fairness. This is subject to change, and may become a Bi-GLA tender through PA23. Additional information: The Commissioners of Northern Lighthouses – operating as the Northern Lighthouse Board (NLB) and the Corporation of Trinity House (England, Wales, Channel Islands and Gibraltar) together with the Commissioners of Irish Lights (the whole of Ireland - are the General Lighthouse Authorities (GLAs).
