***THIS IS AN AWARD NOTICE TO CONCLUDE THE PRE-COMMERCIAL PROCUREMENT OF THE COMPETITION DETAILED BELOW. THIS IS NOT A NEW COMPETITION. THE COMPETITION WAS ADVERTISED AND ADMINISTERED BY INNOVATE UK AND CONTRACTS HAVE BEEN AWARDED.*** This is a Contracts for Innovation formerly known as Small Business Research Initiative (SBRI) award, for Phase 2 R&D contracts to develop innovative solutions focused on improve existing Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms for skin cancer to accelerate detection and diagnosis. This is a Pre-Commercial Procurement funded by the Chief Science Office (CSO). The Test Bed environment is provided by one of three Regional Test Beds within NHS Scotland Health Boards. ***THIS IS AN AWARD NOTICE TO CONCLUDE THE PRE-COMMERCIAL PROCUREMENT OF THE COMPETITION DETAILED BELOW. THIS IS NOT A NEW COMPETITION. THE COMPETITION WAS ADVERTISED AND ADMINISTERED BY INNOVATE UK AND CONTRACTS HAVE BEEN AWARDED.*** Contracts are between NHS Golden Jubilee and winning participants. Phase 2 projects range in size up to total costs of 150,000 GBP inclusive of VAT. Total value of the procurement is 300,000 GBP including VAT. The aim of this award is to improve existing AI algorithms for skin cancer to accelerate detection and diagnosis, using real world images and metadata in a standardised, Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) format in a trusted research environment. The specific use case for these algorithms is the stream of potential skin cancer referrals from primary to secondary care. Any adoption and implementation of a solution from this competition would be subject to a separate, possibly competitive, procurement exercise. This competition does not cover the purchase of any solution. Contracts have be given to successful applicants.
