Queen’s University Belfast employs a Security Service that works on a 24 hour, seven days a week basis.<br /><br />The Security Service consists of an in-house Security Team by day; supported by a specialist Security Service contractor by night. <br /><br />This contract is for the outsourcing element of the University Security Service. <br /><br />The night shift hours of work are between 7:00pm and 7:00am, Monday to Sunday inclusive, including statutory holidays and University closure days (365 days a year). <br /><br />In addition, a static Security Guard is required in the Medical Biological Centre (MBC) 7pm to 8am daily. It is important to note that a reduction in staff takes place at 2am as further detailed within Annex A – ITT Specification.<br /><br />New buildings / areas may be added to or removed from the Specification throughout the duration of the Contract where directed by the University, and as a consequence, the requirements for the outsourced provision may increase/decrease accordingly.
