The Scottish Commission on Social Security (SCoSS) is commissioning a short research report to support its statutory role in evaluating the Scottish social security system’s compliance with the commitments outlined in the Social Security Charter. This review will focus on Adult Disability Payment (ADP) decision making, particularly redetermination processes, and will compare these with similar mechanisms in other social security systems.The aim of this project is to consolidate existing evidence on ADP decision making and redetermination outcomes, including the role of STA. The review will help SCoSS understand how well the expectations of the Social Security Charter are being met in this area and identify gaps in the current evidence base.This is a call off under Lot 3 (Social Research) of the Social Research and Analysis Framework Agreement.
