Preliminary Market Engagement - Enhancing Private Investment for Climate (EPIC) Tackling climate change and nature loss internationally is in our national interest. The UK has a long track record of delivering impact and value for money through our International Climate Finance. Public finance can play a catalysing role in mobilising international private investment into emerging markets and developing economies (EMDEs) to meet the current and future needs on climate, nature and development. The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) is considering options to directly engage international private financiers appraising investments in EMDEs, and options to provide bespoke financial instruments to efficiently mobilise significant volumes of private climate finance. DESNZ will hold a preliminary market engagement session on Thursday 13 November 2025 between 12pm and 1.30pm to test the mandate and delivery routes and to enable due diligence on delivery options. The final scope and delivery model is yet to be chosen. Should a competitive procurement route be chosen, this would be subject to a separate notice.
