The Northern Ireland Precision Biomarkers and Therapeutics Consortium (NIPBT) is an industry-focused partnership of Life and Health Science (LHS) companies and Academia, aligned to NI Health and Economy strategies. By addressing critical commercial gaps, the Consortium's aim is to transform the productivity of each Commercial Partner and the broader LHS sector in NI. <br /> <br />NIPBT will deploy the grant funding to collaboratively develop R&D capabilities that industry partners require. <br />Queen’s is leading and hosting this research hub, as such is tasked with procuring and installing a Biocompatible Analytical/Micro Flow Rate Liquid Chromatography System. within the School of Biological Sciences in 19 Chlorine Gardens, Belfast, BT9 5DL.<br /><br />The system will be optimized for separation of biologics (purified or semi-purified antibodies and antibody drug conjugates), in addition to more complex mixtures of protein complexes (i.e. native cell lysates).The system will primarily used for (i) online analysis with coupling to an existing mass spectrometry system (quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry with electrospray system and trapped ion mobility separations), and, (ii) via offline fraction collection prior to bottom-up characterization via separate LC-MS/MS. The system will be used for characterization of samples associated with projects via the Future Medicines Institute at QUB.<br /><br />• Please note: - The execution of this tender & contract will be solely dependent on grant funding being received, which is estimated to be confirmed in January 2025. <br />• No award will be made, or orders issued until the grant funding has been confirmed. If grant funding is not secured, the market will be notified, and this procurement exercise will be stood down.<br />
